This policy explains what cookies and browser storage phae uses, why we use them, and what choices you have.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use browser localStorage for similar purposes. They help the platform remember your preferences and understand how you use it.

Strictly Necessary

These are required for phae to function. They cannot be disabled.

sidebar_state — Remembers whether the navigation sidebar is open or closed. Set by phae. Duration: 7 days.

phae-cookie-consent — Stores your cookie consent preference. Set by phae. Duration: 1 year.

__session — Authenticates your login session. Set by Clerk (our authentication provider). Duration: Session.

__client_uat — Verifies your browser's authentication status with Clerk. Duration: Session.

__clerk_db_jwt — Maintains your authenticated session. Set by Clerk. Duration: Session.

Analytics (Optional)

Only set with your consent. They help us understand how users interact with phae so we can improve the product.

ph_* (localStorage) — PostHog analytics: page views, feature usage, and session recordings. Network request headers and bodies are never recorded. Duration: 1 year._

__ph_opt_in_out_* — Stores your PostHog opt-in or opt-out preference. Duration: 1 year.***_

Font Delivery (Strictly Necessary)

Adobe Fonts (Typekit) — phae loads fonts from use.typekit.net. Adobe may log font requests for kit usage analytics, but no tracking cookies are set in your browser. This is a functional request required for the platform's typography.

Error Reporting (Strictly Necessary)

phae uses Sentry to detect and report JavaScript errors. Sentry does not set persistent cookies. Error data — including the error message and stack trace — is sent to Sentry at the time an error occurs. No personal data beyond what is necessary for debugging is transmitted.

Managing Your Preferences

You can update your cookie preferences at any time by clicking Manage Cookie Preferences in the footer of any page.

You can also opt out through your browser settings, but this may affect the functionality of the platform.
